Equipment Management tracks manikins, AED trainers, AEDs, first-aid kits and any other returnable asset, and can bill for them when they are issued. It is entirely optional — if you do not manage returnable equipment, you never need to open it.
Before You Begin
- Equipment sits under Operate in the left navigation.
- Nothing else in CPR Enroll depends on this module. You can ignore it entirely and the rest of the product works normally.
- If you plan to charge for equipment, decide your rates before you start adding items.
The Summary Cards
Across the top of the page:
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | Items ready to issue. |
| Checked Out | Items currently out, with an overdue count beneath. |
| Needs Service | Items in the maintenance queue. |
| Retired | Items removed from service. |
| Rental Revenue | Rental income over the last 30 days. |

The Equipment List
Each row shows the item name, its asset tag (for example EQ-0009), status chips, and a summary line with Category, Condition and — for rentable items — the rate, such as $10/checkout. Items that are out show where they are.
Status chips you will see:
| Chip | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | Ready to issue. |
| Checked Out | Currently issued to a class, instructor or location. |
| Rentable | This item can be charged for. |
| Overdue | Past its expected return date. |
| Service due [date] | The next scheduled service date. |
Use the All Status dropdown and Quick search to filter, and the checkboxes on the left for batch actions.

Row Actions
The action menu (⋮) on each row offers Edit, Issue, Log Service and History.
Statuses Across the Lifecycle
Available → Checked Out → Maintenance Needed → Out for Maintenance → Retired.
✔ The flags are automatic. Overdue returns, damaged items and upcoming service dates are all raised for you — you do not need to audit the list manually.
Best Practices
- Adopt one asset-tag sequence and stick to it. Mixed tagging schemes make the list hard to scan once you pass a few dozen items.
- Use the summary cards as your daily check. Needs Service and the overdue count under Checked Out are the two that cost you money if ignored.
- Only mark items Rentable if you actually intend to charge. The chip is a billing trigger, not a label.
- Retire items rather than deleting them, so the history stays intact.
