Release notes - 6 November 2026

Updated 8 min read

This release brings two big changes. Class paperwork now follows one simple path: you set up your forms once, and every class shows you the next step until the paperwork is approved. Agency Connect now works end to end for HSI, the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association, and brings the card and certificate numbers back into CPR Enroll for you.

New

Class paperwork in five clear steps

Every class now has one Paperwork tab that takes you from start to finish in five steps: Prepare, Complete, Finalize roster, Sign & submit and Approval. At the top of the tab, a highlighted box always tells you the one thing to do next and gives you its button, so you never have to look for it.

  • Prepare fills in everything we already know, such as the class, the instructor and the students, across all the forms in the packet, and builds them into one PDF. Run it before class, and again if the roster changes.
  • Complete, after class, adds attendance, results and skill ticks, and places each student's own form into the PDF.
  • Finalize roster opens the same roster review you know from the class page, right on the tab. Certificates are issued at this point.
  • Sign & submit takes one signature. It locks the PDF, saves it with the class documents and sends the class for approval. The class then appears in the Paperwork Inbox, reports and the mobile app exactly as before.
  • Approval shows where the class stands: Under review, Returned with the reason and a Fix and resubmit button, or Approved.

The same steps work for new fillable PDF forms and for the forms you made earlier in the older form designer, so every class follows one path. If a course uses more than one packet, each packet gets its own tab, and the class is submitted once every packet you started is signed.

Per-student forms: generate, send and track

Some forms are filled once for each student, such as a waiver, an exam answer sheet, an evaluation or a skills checklist. Under Per-student forms, pick the form and click Generate documents to create one copy for every enrolled student. You decide when to generate them, for any form.

  • Send the links to students with Send all open, to the students you selected, or one at a time. A student with several forms gets one email with all their links, not several emails.
  • Follow every copy in one list, grouped by form. Each row shows the student's name and email, so two students with the same name are never confused.
  • See where each copy stands: Open until it is handed in, Submitted when the student or instructor submits it, and Completed once the person who signs it completes it. When a signer is set on a copy, only that person can complete it. When none is set, anyone who manages the class can.
  • Open copies never hold you up. When you click Complete with copies still open, you are told which ones and can go ahead. Late copies can still be sent, filled and completed afterwards.

Everything for an approved class, in one place

Once the paperwork is approved, click Download all for one zip of every document on the class, including the roster, or Email roster to send it. Further down the tab, Attachments lists your uploads, the signed packet, files attached to one student and each student's document, with its type and status. You can view or download any single file there, for example to share it with a student, and its status updates as soon as you change it above.

Agency Connect, end to end for HSI, Red Cross and AHA

Agency Connect saves you from retyping a class into each certifying body's website. Start a run from the class page, and the Agency Connect browser extension opens the body's own site in your signed-in browser and fills it from the class, its instructor and its roster. Anything that spends money or submits for good stays with you: the Create, Submit, Pay, Confirm and Finish buttons are never clicked for you, and the run waits and tells you what to check. When you finish, the card or certificate numbers are read back from the site and saved on each student.

  • HSI: creates the class in OTIS with the program, dates, times, location and instructor. It checks that you have enough credits before you spend any, and imports the students from the finalized roster. After you issue the cards in OTIS, it reads each student's digital card number and saves the card PDF to the class.
  • American Red Cross, Course Record Entry: records a class you have taught. It fills the course, sessions and every participant, and once you submit, it reads each student's certificate code from the Student Certification Report.
  • American Red Cross, Request Blended Class: requests an upcoming blended class and collects the student vouchers. It opens the class's Vouchers tab by itself, reads every unused voucher link and saves them in the class's key codes, ready to send with Send code.
  • AHA, Post to Atlas: fills the whole Atlas class listing for you, including course, format, language, location, seats, dates, price, the instructor by AHA Instructor ID and your registration link. You check it and click Create.
  • AHA, Issue eCards: picks your Training Center and Training Site, checks your eCard inventory before you start, enters each student and, after you finish, reads every issued eCard code back and matches it to the student.

On a finalized class, Review Roster now shows the cards issued for every body: student, email, number and, for HSI and Red Cross, a private download link for the card itself. AHA emails eCards to students directly, so for AHA the roster shows the code.

Before your first run: update the Agency Connect extension to the latest version, and stay signed in to the body's website in the same browser. For AHA, add each instructor's AHA Instructor ID and their Training Center and Training Site.

Improved

Simpler forms and packets in Course Builder

  • One simple question when you upload a form. Instead of choosing from a list of form types, you answer one question: does the form list several students per page (a roster)? Rosters print 10 students per page and add pages for the rest. Every other form gets one copy per student.
  • Find fields faster. The data field picker in field mapping is now searchable: type a few letters, such as "start", to find the field you need.
  • Library copies leave the original alone. Choose from library now makes a copy of the form, so the original and the courses it belongs to are never changed. The library lists only fillable forms.
  • Clearer names. Forms made in the older form designer are now called classic forms. They still work for their classes, and you can convert one to a fillable form whenever you are ready.
  • Informational forms, such as a pamphlet, go out with the enrollment confirmation email and no longer appear on the class Paperwork tab.
  • Missing student details are easy to check. When a form needs something a student's profile lacks, such as a phone number, the class tab shows one short line you can click to see which details are missing and for whom, instead of large warning boxes.

Agency Connect course mapping now lives on each course

Agency Connect needs to know which body course matches each of your courses. That setting has moved from the Agency Connect settings page to the course itself, one line per certification, so a course that issues two certifications can map each one to its own body product. The Agency Connect settings page shows a note and a Go to Courses button so nobody looks in the old place.

Smoother Agency Connect runs

  • Numbers read from the body's site arrive already filled in: you check them and click Save.
  • If a site signs you out in the middle of a run, the run pauses with a clear "sign in, then continue" step instead of failing.
  • The help text on the run page names the right place to look for each body: OTIS, the Red Cross certification report or AHA eCards.

Fixed

  • Class start and end times on paperwork showed 12:00 AM. They now show the class's real times, in the class's own time zone.
  • When a form was printed once per student, every copy showed the first student, and the second page of a roster repeated the first. Each copy and each page now shows its own students.
  • A form a student had submitted was missing from the signed packet. Submitted forms are now included.
  • Ticked checkboxes printed as a cross in the PDF. They now print as a tick.
  • An instructor submitting a classic form saw "submitted", but the form stayed Open. It now moves to Submitted.
  • A form converted to a fillable PDF did not appear when adding forms to a packet. It now does.
  • A student's submitted document was listed twice in the class files and in the Paperwork Inbox. It now appears once.
