A class is a scheduled, student-facing instance of a course — it has a specific date, time, location, instructor, and capacity. You must have at least one Course, one Location, and one Instructor in the system before you can create a class. This guide walks through the full class creation process.
Creating a New Class
From the sidebar, click Classes.
Click the + button in the toolbar to open the class creation form.
Select the Class Type — this is the first and most important field as it determines which other fields are required (see What are the different Class Types? for full details).
Select the Course from the dropdown of your existing courses.
Select the Location from your saved locations (not required for Online type).
Select the Instructor (not required for Online type).
Optionally select one or more Assistants — additional instructors who help with the class but are not the lead.
Enter Max Students — the maximum enrollment capacity for this class.
Enter the Price (can differ from the course default price if needed).

Listing Settings
Listing Settings control how and whether this class appears on your public registration page:
Show Available Seats Publicly (default: ON) — when enabled, students see remaining capacity (e.g., "3 of 10 seats left") on the registration page.
Allow Waitlist — when enabled, students can join a waitlist when the class is full instead of being turned away.
Private Class — when enabled, the class is hidden from all public registration pages. Enroll students manually or via a direct class link.
Post UnScheduled — posts the class without a fixed date so students can express interest before scheduling is finalized.
Setting the Date and Time
In the Timings section, set the class Date, Start Time, End Time, and Timezone.
For Multiday classes, check the Multiday checkbox — this changes the sub-type and reveals a multi-session timing builder.
If you want to create a Recurring series from this class (weekly, monthly, etc.), the Recurring Classes section appears automatically once you enter a valid date and time. Configure the frequency, interval, and end date.
Saving and Publishing
Review all fields, then click Save.
Your class is now scheduled and will appear on your public registration page (unless set to Private).
To get the direct registration link for this class, go to Classes > ⋮ > Share Registration on the class row.
