What Is Organic Booking?

Organic Booking, sometimes referred to as booking redirect, allows customers to book services directly from a business listing shown in search results. Instead of sending users to a third-party site, booking actions point straight to your configured services and calendars. Customers can either book a specific service or choose a general “Book Online” option depending on how your services are configured.

This approach creates a smoother booking experience while keeping service information consistent and easy to manage.

Migrating to Organic Booking

To continue offering online booking from search results, Organic Booking must be enabled and configured. This process involves selecting which services appear and how customers are redirected when they choose to book.

Accessing Organic Booking Settings

This screen shows where Organic Booking is managed inside calendar connection settings. From here, booking feeds are configured and uploaded.

Customers should navigate to their calendar connection settings and locate the section labeled for Organic Booking. This area controls how booking options appear publicly and which services are available for scheduling.

Configuring Booking Feeds

Organic Booking supports two feed types. Either one or both can be used depending on how services should appear to customers.

Primary Booking Action Feed

This feed controls the main “Book Online” button that appears on a business listing. When selected, customers who click this button are taken to a general service menu or grouped booking page.

To use this option, a service menu or grouped calendar must already exist. Selecting it here makes it the primary booking destination.

Individual Services Feed

This feed displays individual services directly on the business listing, each with its own booking button. Customers can choose a specific service and book it immediately without browsing a menu.

Each selected service appears separately and links directly to its corresponding booking calendar.

Uploading Booking Information

Once services are selected, the booking information must be uploaded so it can be reviewed and published. After uploading, verification typically takes several days. During this time, booking buttons may not appear immediately.

It is important that each selected service includes a clear name and description that match. This helps ensure approval and prevents delays.

Automatic Activation

After verification is complete, booking options become active automatically. Customers will then see booking buttons directly on the business listing, allowing them to schedule services without additional setup.

No manual activation is required once verification is successful.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if my services are not approved?

Services may be delayed or rejected if names and descriptions do not clearly match. Updating service details and re-uploading usually resolves this.

Q: How long does it take for booking options to appear?

Verification typically takes one to two weeks, though timing can vary.

Q: Can I use both booking feed types at the same time?

Yes. A general booking button and individual service booking buttons can both be displayed if configured.

Q: Do customers need an account to book?

No. Customers can book directly without creating an account.
